Karen horzigeorgiou new idea inspiration

I really like the idea i got from this artist.
ive decided to make a series of books like the ones above except incorporating music to it.
i plan on making miniature guitars out of model magic painting them and placing them into a hallowed out book and putting the lyrics to my favourite song on the opposite page.
i will do 3 books to cover three genres of music; rock, heavey metal, acoustic and the guitars will reflect the genre

OK Artists Handmade Book Art Project: by Bret Syfert, Libby Rosof and Ro...

interesting video.

Book Carving Artist

quality isnt great but very interesting work.

Buddha Head made carved from books.

This looks really hard to make ha.

book art sculptural style

This sculptural style piece looks very detailed and highly complex. i found the manner in which the artist used the book very interesting.
This style seems to be very popular as lots of these type images have appeared during my research. It is a very nice style the is very pleasing to the eye. it looks like it would be quite complicated to do.
This pop up style is very nice and is something i think i might look into in terms of what my own finished piece will be.
These gun shaped book carvings are really cool and i really like the style and the design of them. they are very interesting and the titles of the books are very appropriate.
The grenade is very cool to look at and very well put together. you must remove the pin at the head of the grenade to open the book which was a very well thought out idea.
the way the artist manipulated the spine of the book to create a very life like shape and quality to the scorpion is very interesting.
Iv started to narrow my search in terms of this style of book art to the style in which the above images are done; the two guns and the grenade and the scorpion.

research into book prints

i found the detail in the skull very interesting.
this looks like a print over a collage of a piece of torn up paper stuck back together randomly.
i quite like the french feel to this image and the ultramarine blue ink used.
this style i found most appealing as it is all done in a phonebook.

These are images that i found the most interesting in my study of prints in books. they are very interesting because they are done in books that would not think to use yourself maybe such as a phonebook or a collage of different cut up pieces of paper.
